About Sabrina
From Humble Beginnings to Bold Leadership
My story doesn’t start in politics; it begins with my mother, Jewel. She was a maid and a cook in rural Louisiana, working her entire life without a retirement plan or a safety net. She taught my siblings and me that real strength isn’t about what you have; it’s about showing up for others, no matter how little you have to give. That lesson has been my compass ever since.
When we arrived at Fort Stewart in 2001, we fell in love with the community and the people. Here, we planted roots, raised our family, and committed ourselves to Liberty County. My husband, now U.S Army Ret., serves as Hinesville City Councilman for District 4, and I are proud parents to U.S. Army soldiers, grandparents to seven, and dedicated community advocates. Service isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.
I know what it means to work hard, building my ladder in order to climb it. I was the first in my family to graduate from college, earning a Bachelor’s in law and policy and a Master’s in law, becoming a Doctoral Candidate in strategic leadership, and completing executive training at Harvard Kennedy School, not for titles, but for tools I’ve brought back to strengthen Liberty County. Family taught me resilience; education gave me the skills to lead. Together, they shape how I serve.
After 18 years with the Department of Defense, I started a small business right here in Liberty County. That experience opened my eyes to the struggles local entrepreneurs face. So, I founded the Coastal Georgia Minority Chamber to give them a voice, create opportunities, and grow our economy from the ground up.
That work grew into broader advocacy. I’ve fought in Atlanta and Washington for policies that matter here: protecting military families, national security, expanding affordable housing, securing voting rights, and pushing for infrastructure that meets our needs. I was honored to be named one of Georgia Trend’s 500 Most Influential Georgians and to serve on the board of Georgia ACT, the state’s affordable housing agency. I am also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and Parliamentary Gems.
Now, I’m running for State Representative because our challenges have evolved, and our leadership must evolve as well. We don’t need more of the same. We need someone who understands the fight of today’s everyday people who call Liberty County home. Someone who knows how to deliver real results, because I already have. From bringing infrastructure dollars to helping set up emergency SNAP assistance after Hurricane Helene, I’m dedicated to delivering results.
I’m not running to just bring any type of job here. I’m running to bring good, livable-wage paying jobs here, to build thriving small businesses, to secure affordable healthcare, to strengthen our schools, and to ensure unwavering support for our veterans. Liberty County deserves a representative who listens more than they talk, who builds bridges instead of barriers, who never forgets where they came from, and who gets the work done.
This campaign isn’t about me; it’s about every Liberty Countian and their families. This isn’t about political parties; it’s about working hard for our community, serving with pride in our community, and building a future for our community where no one is left behind. Together, we can make that future real.
